Help us Connect Kids to Parks!

SMRA March 3, 2017

Can you help us with school contacts for this exciting new outreach?

Saw Mill River Audubon is partnering with Rockefeller State Park Preserve and FDR State Park through New York’s Connect Kids to Parks program. This new grant program funds field trips to New York State Parks for students in grades K-12, reimbursing school costs for transportation and program fees.We hope this will be an exciting opportunity to connect more kids with nature.

The Connect Kids with Parks grant program is for Title 1 schools OR schools receiving Title I targeted assistance. We are talking with eligible local schools to encourage bookings for Spring 2017 as well as the 2017-2018 school year.

We are pleased to have scheduled field trips for Spring 2017 for schools from the Bronx and from Yonkers.

Perhaps you have a connection with an eligible local school to help us connect more kids with nature? If so, please call us ASAP at 914-666-6503 or email office@sawmillriveraudubon.org Anne Swaim
