Issue Alert: Hudson River Proposed Anchorage
Saw Mill River Audubon is tracking this issue and has submitted comments.
All those concerned with the ongoing health of the Hudson River should be aware of a proposal to create new anchorages for commercial shipping, including oil barges, up and down the Hudson River.
Saw Mill River Audubon is concerned about the potential impact of these proposed anchorages on federally protected Bald Eagles as well as potential damage to the ecologically rich and critically important Hudson River Estuary which is only now recovering after years of abuse.
